I have gotten to know Ramey Johnson over the last three years of my work on special district abuse and overdevelopment of Lakewood.
I also have strong concerns about climate change and celebrate Greta Thunberg the 16 year old from Sweden who rocked the boat and the world.
I think that if Ms. Thunberg lived in the Front Range she would have a few things to say about special district abuse and overdevelopment of Lakewood. 🙂
I think that she and Ramey Johnson would be friends.
Because Ramey Johnson listens. She listens to everyone. And she shares with others what she hears. And in discussing different information and points of view with her constituents she ultimately makes decisions. That is a wonderful thing.
And in the course of collecting, sharing and discussing information, and listening to her constituents, she decides what is true and what is not. That is a wonderful thing. We can’t ask for more.
She is not afraid of being questioned. She welcomes it. And from being questioned and the open discussions, she learns. She does not censor adverse information or opinions. She wants to hear from everyone. She wants information. She is not afraid of making hard decisions.
Adam Paul is afraid of being questioned. He hates Next Door. He censors adverse information or opinions. The clearest example is re-writing the Cox Memo on the Big Sky IGA. See the Cox emails here which demonstrate his efforts to censor information from the Council and the public:

This election is about who will lead Lakewood the next four years.
I care about our community. I care about climate change. And I vote for Ramey Johnson.
Because she listens, she takes in all the information, she shares the information to invite discussion and she cares about what we have to say. She has listened to me. She listens to you. And she cares. She is everything Adam Paul isn’t.
Adam Paul is a lobbyist for the development community (whose supporters all of a sudden care about climate change).
Ramey Johnson is no lobbyist for anyone except you. She listens. And, she, like most of us, never stops learning.
