No surprise here. The special district abuse experienced by the folks in Solterra is typical of special districts created to fund the construction of homes throughout Colorado.
In recent weeks I have met many folks in large Denver neighborhoods who are experiencing the same and different problems with special district abuse.
Here is a letter I wrote to the Denver City Council after attending a recent Council meeting when they considered approving a new special district at the urging of a councilmember who had a special interest in developing the new special district.
We are not alone. Of course that is both good news and bad news.
The good news is there are more people involved to help end the abuse. End the hemorrhaging of our financial resources. End the corruption of our constitutional principles.
